how did you get here?

what can you do here?

how can you do it?

what's next?

how did you get here:

you must be a DJ to be here.  you clicked on the "manage your past playlists" link from the ON AIR DJ screen or the OFF AIR DJ screen.

what can you do here:

you can see and manage your most recent playlist session displayed since your most recent ON AIR session with grapefruitmusic.

you can also link to manage your past playlists through a monthly calendar view.

if your station manager gave you the option to choose, then you will see the following section where you can choose to make your playlists "public" or "private":

all my playlists public / private

after marking your preference, simply press the "Make" button.  listeners can view all public playlists, but not private playlists.  naturally, the site is the most useable to listeners and DJs if all playlists are public...

how can you do it:

click to the session you want to manage.  the most recent session is displayed by default, so if you want past sessions, find and click on those links...  once you click on a session, the screen will refresh with the songs of that session (from ON AIR logon time to logoff time).  in the following example you have 2 songs in this particular session:

band album song label playtime action
HALF JAPANESE       5/20/00 4:05:16 PM  delete  update
insert new after this
MINOR THREAT complete dischography    dischord  5/20/00 4:03:42 PM  delete  update
insert new after this

for each playlist item you see, you can click on the links under the "action" column to

  • DELETE THE PLAYLIST ITEM
if you realize you played JAD FAIR after MINOR THREAT and not HALF JAPANESE, then you need to delete HALF JAPANESE first.

  • UPDATE THE PLAYLIST ITEM
you can modify existing information or fill out missing information, such as the name of the MINOR THREAT song you are missing...  you will be taken to the update playlist item screen.

NOTE: you CAN NOT modify the band you played, only its related info.  so instead you can delete the band, then add a different one.

  • INSERT A NEW PLAYLIST ITEM AFTER ANOTHER ONE
after you deleted HALF JAPANESE, you are ready to replace it with JAD FAIR.  you will be taken to the insert new playlist item screen.

what's next:

once you updated/deleted/inserted all you had to, you can go back where you came from.  your playlist has been updated.
