the stations you see on the home page when you click on the "home tab" are all the invited stations who make up grapefruitmusic. their broadcast is independent of grapefruitmusic (they can be either broadcasting/netcasting at the time or not, independently of grapefruitmusic)
stations that are "ON AIR" on grapefruitmusic (!) are marked with the |

| how does this work: | ||

when a DJ from any of the stations logs on to grapefruitmusic with the intention to use the system LIVE and create real-time playlists while the broadcast and netcast is going on, then the DJ will be in an "ON AIR" mode.
DJs who are logged in ON AIR on grapefruitmusic can modify their station's currently playing song information, thereby creating the station's playlist. this is when you can actually see what is being played on the station's detail page (click any station on the home page) and add the currently playing song to your favorits collection of bands. |
