how did you get here?

what can you do here?

what's next?

how did you get here:

you have clicked on the "create new metro" link on the previous page to add a new metro area because presumably you did not find the metro area you were looking for on the list of metro areas in the drop-down box.

what can you do here:

you can add a new metro area which will be available to everyone using the system.  you can do this by

1. identify the state (within the US and Canada) or country you want to create the metro area in by selecting it from the drop-down box.

2. IF you can NOT find the US/Canadian state or other country you are looking for in the drop-down box, then enter the name of the new country.

3. enter the name of the new metro area

4. press the "Add" button

users should use this feature sensibly since adding false or misleading information can hurt everyone else using the system.

this data will be 'policed' periodically to eliminate "bs entries".  as with other features available to the public, if there will be gross misuse of the feature, we might have to permit just the DJs to enter new metro areas.

WARNING: metro areas are meant to cover areas within which you would consider going to see a show.  (you should NOT enter "Brooklyn", "Manhattan" and "Jersey City" as a new metro area if there is already a "New York City" metro area because if your favorit band plays in a venue in Brooklyn and your metro area is Manhattan, you will not see the event on your calendar...)

what's next:

the new metro area (and country if you created one) will be added to the system and selected for you.
